FIELD DAY featuring Soil Health Expert RAY ARCHULETA with Porter County SWCD – September 4th, 2024

The day begins at 9 am (CT) with global speaker, Ray Archuleta. Ray will be covering soil health and function to save time and money. Nikky Witkowski from Purdue Extension will provide PARP training for credits. A hearty lunch will be served and then a final short session by Ray from 1-2:30 pm will focus on soil testing.
Last days to register for our FREE September 4th Field Day at the Ed Ruge Family Farm 812 North 200 West, Valparaiso. Look for the signs and the big tent!

Climate & Coffee

Join our Educator for “Climate & Coffee –Lunch & Learn Edition”, a monthly series to bring local farmers, land owners and natural resources stewards together to discuss conservation challenges and best practices in a changing environment.

This informal, round-table discussion will focus on climate change impacts and best practices to mitigate climate change and improve overall soil & natural resources health. We will talk about ways to address, manage, and cope with the on-the-ground realities, and generate a movement to make better decisions for stewardship and sustainability for the future. Discover current research, techniques that work, and discuss concerns you have as a land steward in a changing climate. All are welcome; no registration required. Bring your lunch, Bring a friend!
